Sports Programs

Twice per week, Phillis Wheatley Community Center hosts open gym basketball. In addition to being great exercise, basketball can serve as a great catalyst for developing meaningful friendships.

Pickleball

Pickleball is the Upstate’s fastest growing sport! It’s a fun activity that combines many elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It can be played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net. Players have a paddle and a plastic ball with hole and play as doubles or singles.

At Phillis Wheatley, we have 3 indoor courts for adults to enjoy through our partners at Greenville County Parks and Recreation.
