The Charity Ball Board of Greenville held the 2021 Rose Ball on September 24 at the Poinsett Club. Phillis Wheatley Community Center was one of twelve beneficiaries selected to receive a portion of the proceeds.

The 2021 beneficiaries were selected from a pool of over 80 applications submitted by qualifying Greenville County nonprofits. The Charity Ball Board of Greenville’s Beneficiaries Committee, led by chair Gaye Sprague and vice-chair Courtney Atkinson, reviewed each application, conducted site visits and presented a slate for recommendation to the Charity Ball Board this spring.

The Rose Ball is Greenville’s longest-running charitable community event. It features more than 4,000 roses and provides funding for many Greenville charitable organizations, biennially.
